A Shift in the Wind

Alright, I've been circling this possibility for a while now. Blogging? I hardly know what texting is on my phone. But I have a sense that I'm not alone in some of this "dinosaurism".

For instance, do you get sweaty or annoyed when the folks around you are talking endlessly about their iPhone? Or my favorite, "I couldn't live without my Mac".

The benefits of the iPhone and all the insanely unnecessary "apps" is obvious in the great photos that it takes. And I have to admit the app that identifies music is pretty cool. The fact that I am taking a perfectly good English word and using the abbreviation as if its the noun.......well what the hell does that say?

It says that technology or popular technology is now running the engine of our culture. Heady stuff. Language is changing so rapidly; dictionaries for "twitting".? That's so vast a change I'll save it for later.

So this is my first foray out into the cyber world, other than my email and should I admit this.....Facebook. I feel like a featured "pod person" in a remake of "The Invasion of the Body Snatchers" but somehow it's all ok and thankfully.....funny.
